Artist's Description

A Yellow Warbler was searching for insects in the willow behind my house and after following him around for about an hour he finally exposed himself for a couple of seconds. I generally get five or six species of warblers migrating through my place here in Central Oregon in the spring and always look forward to seeing them. The Yellow Warbler will go all the way north to Alaska on their northern migration and spend the winters in parts of the southern US and further south.

Gary Wing was born in western Montana and as a child he enjoyed roaming the Rocky Mountains on foot or on horseback. His photos have been featured on the cover of Bee Culture Magazine, in Range Magazine, and the 2010 book Capture Central Oregon. He recently had a showing at Smith Rock State Park. He has also shown at the Redmond Library,...
