Was out this evening trying to capture a photo of some Tree Swallow's and as the sun set looked over toward my garden space and caught the back light hitting on the poppies and exposed a few shots.
Gary Wing was born in western Montana and as a child he enjoyed roaming the Rocky Mountains on foot or on horseback. In 1959 his family moved to Redmond, Oregon and he developed a love for the high desert and the Cascade Mountains. Graduating from Redmond High in 1964 he went on to Oregon State University and then worked as a ranch manager and wildlife biologist with the Federal government. Retiring in 2011, he returned to photography which he developed a love for in the early 70’s but could never seem to find time for. His photos have been featured on the cover of Bee Culture Magazine, in Range Magazine, and the 2010 book Capture Central Oregon. He recently had a showing at Smith Rock State Park.
